Hot-Spicy-Beefbiryani

Here's a simple recipe for making delicious beef biryani:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb beef, cubed
  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 green chili, chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp ghee or oil
  • 2 tbsp chopped cilantro, for garnish
  • 1 lemon, sliced, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a large pan, heat the ghee or oil and sauté the onions until golden brown.
  2. Add the garlic, ginger, green chili, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder and salt. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add the beef to the pan and cook until browned on all sides.
  4. Stir in the yogurt and cook for a few minutes.
  5. Add the rice and water to the pan and bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat to low, cover the pan and simmer for 20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the liquid has been absorbed.
  7. Garnish with cilantro and lemon slices before serving.
