Here is a traditional recipe for Fish Tikka:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb fish fillets (such as salmon or cod), cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Method:

  1. In a bowl, mix together yogurt, lemon juice, ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, paprika, red chili powder, salt, and oil.
  2. Add the fish pieces to the marinade, making sure they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
  3. Preheat the grill to high heat. Thread the marinated fish onto skewers.
  4. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the fish is cooked through and browned on the outside.
  5. Serve the fish tikka hot with mint chutney or lemon wedges.
